This is Sally Whitelock and Benita Cervantes with announcements for the week of March 1 for the Edison Eagles…
Thank you for your continued support during this difficult time. We would like to continue to encourage everyone to stay healthy and do your part to get our community more healthy – wear masks, socially distance, wash your hands, keep your social groups very small. We all need to work together to keep our students in school in person as long as possible. THANK YOU!

Traffic at drop off and pick up
Please help us keep our students safe at drop off and pick up times by doing the following:
* School starts at 9:00 AM and school dismisses at 3:00 PM daily.
* Do NOT park on the east side of Quitman or west side of Perry from 8:30-9:15 am or 2:30-3:15 pm.
* Do NOT park, drop off or pick up students off in the staff parking lot.
* If you wish to stay in your car to drop off or pick up students, drive north on Quitman or south on Perry. Then, stop on the school side of the street and drop off your child or wait for your student to come to your car.
* Do NOT drop off students in the street or across the street from Edison.
* Drive north on Quitman Street and south on Perry Street during drop off and pick up times – this will keep traffic going in the same direction to keep students safe.
Virtual Passions Day – Community assistance needed!
Culture and Passions Day will be on Friday, March 26 during the school day. Our theme will be “Pursuing passions help us connect people with respect and compassion”. During the school day, students will watch videos from parents and community members sharing a passion/interest, cultural tradition, or career, as well as engage in activities in their classroom related to passions, culture and career.
If you, your relatives, or your friends are interested in creating a 10-15 minute video presentation for our students for Passions Day, please sign up at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/655BKNP
After you sign up, you will receive additional information from Mrs. Dougherty regarding details for the presentation video.
