Volunteering at Edison
The goal of the Edison Elementary volunteer program is to assist the school in providing the best possible education for each student within a positive and caring community.
Each year, we have many volunteers who give their time, energy and experience to help enrich the educational programs for our students. Volunteers make a difference and are an important part of our school team by:
- Strengthening school programs;
- Establishing parent groups;
- Sponsoring/supporting special events;
- Serving on advisory committees.
Volunteer Applications
In order to ensure that all volunteers at our school are safe to be with our students, all volunteers need to complete the volunteer application prior to volunteering at the school or with the PTA. A volunteer application is good for exactly one calendar year. Apply online
Volunteers that wish to support the PTA with opportunities that involve handling of money or who wish to be ‘unsupervised’ with students (for example, the 4th grade overnight field trip), must complete a more in-depth volunteer application and background check. Please come in to Edison’s office to complete this application.
