As you plan for the comming school year, please keep the following in mind:

Registration: Parents/guardians are required to register all students for the 2013-14 school year by coming into Edison on August 7, 8, or 9 between 8:30 and 3:00. Returning students will be required to verify the current information we have. New students will be required to complete the entire registration packet. If your student is new to Edison, please bring a birth certificate, an immunization record, and a proof of address (Xcel bill, etc). Please have emergency contact information ready. After registration/verification paperwork is completed, parents will receive teacher assignments for their children. We will also encourage parents to sign up for the Edison Student Directory and PTA membership during registration. It was our hope that DPS had on-line registration ready to go by August, but we were recently informed that this is not ready, therefore, all registration/verification will be done with paper again this year. Please plan 30-60 minutes to complete the entire process. If you cannot make it to registration on the scheduled days, please come into the office between 8:00 and 4:00 on August 19-23.
Lawn Party and Back to School Night: Please join us on August 22 from 5:00-7:00 PM for our annual Lawn Party. Bring a picnic dinner or buy dinner from a meal truck. Visit with the community and say hi to your teacher from 5:00-6:00. At 5:45 the Principal will welcome the community and introduce teachers. At 6:00 and 6:30, teachers will have Back to School night presentations in classrooms. Students are welcome to bring school supplies and drop them off in their classrooms.

August 28 – Full day Kindergarteners begin attending all day
September 5 – CSC meeting at 4:30-5:30 in the conference room
September 6 – PTA Meet and Greet at 4:30-6:30 at 10Flavors Frozen Yogurt
September 10 – PTA Update Meeting at 3:45 on the playground
September 20 – PTA Meet and Greet at 8:00-10:00 AM in Edison’s Library
October 3 – CSC meeting at 4:30-5:30 in the conference room
Ocober 3 – PTA Update Meeting at 3:45 on the playground
October 9 – PTA Meeting at 6-7:00 PM at Local 46
Ocober 14 – No School
October 15 – No School
October 16 – Parent Teacher Conferences from 3:45-7:45 at scheduled times
October 17 – Parent Teacher Conferences from 3:45-7:45 at scheduled times
October 25 – Fall Festival at 3:45 PM on the playground
