New Edison/DPS Information From Edison’s PTA - Maybe your 2026 resolution is to feel more connected, get involved in your community, and give back in a meaningful way—without it feeling overwhelming. Joining the PTA is an easy, impactful way to do just that, and it truly makes a difference for our kids and our school. For just $10, PTA membership gives you a voice in how funds are spent, the changes and additions we make to our school, and insider insight into what’s happening in the building. Whether you’re able to volunteer a little or a lot, your membership helps support our school community and ensures parent voices are heard. https://edisondenver.givebacks.com/shop The February 3 PTA meeting is an important one. We’ll be discussing new initiatives for the rest of this year, as well as beginning conversations about what we want next year to look like for our kids, teachers, and school community. This is a chance to help shape what’s ahead. Childcare will be provided in the gym during the meeting. Please RSVP so we can plan appropriately - https://www.signupgenius.com/go/8050D4FACA929A7FE3-61710693-ptafebruary Join the PTA Board – Get involved! The PTA is looking for new parents to join our board. Many current board members will be serving their final year next year, and we would love to bring in new families to shadow these roles, with the possibility of stepping into board positions for the 2027–2028 school year. The Gifted and Talented (GT) department is seeking districtwide ECE-12th grade family feedback to inform both our department and the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) about your experience with the GT services your children receive. This feedback is essential for our GT department's reflection and will directly support future policy improvements. Families of Gifted students are invited to complete this GT feedback survey by January 31, 2026. Included in this survey is an invitation to provide feedback about the DPS GT department during a live, virtual session during the evening of February 10, 2026. The first 20 responses from interested families will receive additional information about this listening session facilitated by the CDE’s GT staff.
