New Community Information:

  • Eagle Run AND Direct Ask Campaign - We hope everyone has an amazing time at the Eagle Run! This year the Eagle Run is raising money to pay for instructional paraprofessionals for the 2026-2027 school year. These important staff members support students and teachers in grades K-5. A Few Important Updates for Day-of Logistics:

    • Each student will receive an Eagle Run sticker with their number of laps recorded. If you are cheering on runners, please support volunteers in ensuring all students get an Eagle Run sticker with their recorded number of laps!

    • Once students have received their sticker, they can get their popsicle and celebrate with classmates.

    • Eagle Run stickers will be the “official” recording for laps this year. If you would like to print out an Eagle Run certificate for your runner, please print out the digital template (available at: https://drive.google.com/file/d/10_nEBG-i-bsyBbsDvQHcXSWGm1eFRuPc/view?usp=sharing  and fill out your runner’s name and number of laps.

    • Please note that if students have opted for lap-based pledges, they’ll need to save their stickers or remember the number of laps they ran (honor system is in place for any lost stickers!).

    • We would love to raise $90,000 (which equals about $180 per student) this year for this very important fundraiser to help out our teachers and students at Edison.  To contribute directly to our fundraising efforts, you can give through any of these convenient methods:

      • Venmo ID: @EdisonElementaryPTA

      • Online at our PTA Eagle Run Portal: https://fundraise.givesmart.com/vf/Soar

      • Snail Mail or Drop Off:   Edison Elementary   Attn: PTA Fundraising   3350 Quitman Street   Denver, CO 80212

  • Family-Teacher Conferences - Please sign up for a family-teacher conference on either October 8 or 9, between 3:45 and 7:45 PM. This is a great time to find out how your child(ren) is doing in school, celebrate success and set academic and work habit goals for your child. We strongly believe that teachers and caregivers must work together, as a team, to ensure the educational success of children. We value these opportunities to collaborate with you and are looking forward to our one-on-one conferences. Please watch for sign up forms coming from your child’s teacher.

    • Reminder - There are no after school Enrichment clubs for students during family conferences on 10/8 and 10/9.  Discovery Link will still operate as scheduled. Please make arrangements to pick up your students at 3:25 on the conference days (unless they go to DL).

  • Scholastic Book Fair - Please stop by the book fair during family/teacher conferences!  You will find all your favorite books to keep your students reading.  The book fair will be open in the Edison Auditorium:

  • You’re invited to our October PTA meeting! Please join us on Thursday, October 2 at 5:00 PM in the Edison Auditorium. Childcare will be available in the gym.

  • Skinner Fall Festival - Saturday, October 4, 10 am - 2 pm. Join us for our epic Fall Festival at 41st Ave and Knox Ct (north side of the campus) on our fields and in the gym and cafeteria. There will be food and drinks, games, activities, music and crafts - so much fun for the whole family! Cash only please.

Reminders:

  • From the health office: We are in need of donations for the school health room. We are specifically looking for gently used boys' joggers or athletic shorts in youth sizes 8-12 to provide to students who have had a spill or accident and need a change of clothes. Your support helps us ensure our students are comfortable and can get back to class quickly. Thank you for your generosity!

  • Important Caregiver Sign-up Links and Surveys:

    • BESS Survey for parents/caregivers: The BESS survey is a social-emotional screening tool which, accompanied by other data, is used to drive decisions for students’ behavioral, social emotional and mental health needs and supports. Please complete the parent BESS survey for your student prior to October 31 at: https://review360connect.com/Prod/DenverPublicSchools/Parent/EnterStudentNumber
