Letter from the Principal
Dear Parents and Community,
Welcome to Edison Elementary. Edison is a neighborhood school which is committed to academic excellence and building a community of caring and responsible students. At Edison, teachers, parents and students work together to ensure the success of each student. Enrollment at Edison is approximately 600 students and we are proud to say that our student body is diverse and high achieving. We have a beautiful playground and community garden which supports our values of strong community, healthy living, and taking care of our environment. We provide music, physical education, and visual arts to all students, ensuring well-balanced students. We specialize in individualizing instruction, serving as a magnet school for students with gifted and talented needs, as well as, providing differentiated instruction to all students. Most importantly, we challenge our students every day with a rigorous curriculum, cooperative learning, and high academic expectations taught with a guaranteed and viable curriculum.
We welcome visitors and enjoy giving tours of our historic building with 21st century technology. It is an honor and a pleasure to serve as principal at Edison Elementary and I look forward to personally sharing my knowledge of our school and community with you.
