Edison Edfest 2023
We are getting super excited for Edison’s annual Edfest which is planned for May 13 at Hops and Pie from 6:00-10:00 PM! EdFest raises money for the PTA general fund which raised over $55,000 last year. We are currently at 26% of our goal, over $18,000 raised! The PTA general fund provides Edison with funds to pay for: money for teacher accounts, online subscriptions, enrichment day, field trip transportation, Edison t-shirts for new students, community events, after school tutoring, enrichment scholarships, teacher appreciation and much more! Tickets are SOLD OUT. Silent auction items are open for bidding from May 7 at 5:00 until May 13 at 9:00 PM.

* Paddle Raises will begin at 8:00 PM – This year, we are asking for donations for the following: – Smart Boards ($3500 each), Picnic Tables ($1500 each), Keyboards for the music room ($250 each), Classroom Cozy Corner Kits ($100 each).
Field Day
Due to the weather, we had to postpone Field Day. Edison’s Field Day is now scheduled for Thursday, May 18.
* 9:00 -11:00 for Kindergarten, 2nd grade and 4th grade
* 1:15 – 3:15 for ECE, 1st, 3rd and 5th grade
Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast
Have you supported Edison this year – by volunteering in the classroom, acting as a room parent, supporting with a field trip, organizing a community event, or participating in the PTA or CSC? If so, please join us at Edison’s annual Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast in Edison’s auditorium on Friday, May 19 at 7:45 – 8:20 AM.
Audition for the annual Edison Talent Show…3rd-5th graders only
Our annual Talent Show is scheduled for Wednesday, May 31. All 3rd-5th graders are invited to audition for the Talent Show. If you’d like to audition, please plan on the following:
* Your presentation is 2 minutes or less.
* You are confident, and can perform it without help from others.
* You provide your own music or mp3 files.
* You provide your own instrument, if it’s something that we don’t have in the music room.

* You need to use your school Google account to open and fill out the survey.

Order School Supplies for 2023-24 NOW!
Did you know that you can order school supplies from the PTA now and be all prepared for the 2023-24 school year? If you order online, through the PTA:
* the teacher gets the exact supplies they want,
* the teachers have time to organize the supplies before the students arrive,
* there are fewer issues in the classroom since the students will have all the same supplies,
* and you don’t have to do ANYTHING past clicking a few buttons!
The supplies will be shipped directly to Edison the week before school starts. Volunteers will deliver your students’ supply pack directly to their teacher! Edison makes about $3 a pack, which is not a lot, but it helps contribute to the PTA Fund. And yes, the supply list has been double-checked! To order supplies:

On May 30, Edison students will participate in Edison’s Enrichment Day. Teachers have planned fun, engaging full-day learning opportunities like: FBI, Hammond Candy Factory Tour, Dinosaur Ridge, Mile High Stadium Tour and more. Students get to choose their learning experience for the day. Edison’s PTA fully funds Enrichment Day for all Edison students! ALL STUDENTS should – bring a sack lunch (or get one from our lunchroom), wear comfortable shoes & clothing, bring a water bottle. Students should be prepared to walk and for the weather.
