Greet and Get
Caregivers who have 1st-5th grade students may sign up their child to be released by their teacher to be picked up in the Greet and Get lane daily at 3:30 PM
by completing this form: https://forms.gle/gFK4apEWNmcsKQpR7
The following guidelines apply:
– Caregivers should pick up their children at 3:30 in the Greet & Get lane on the northwest side of Perry Street, by the playground/community garden.
– This is only for cars. Walkers and students of caregivers who park will be picked up in the dismissal area.
– Caregivers should park on Perry Street. Stay in your car and move forward as space allows.
– Cars may only stop long enough for their child/ren to get into the car.
– Cars must continue to move and leave the parking lane immediately after picking up their children
– Please notify the office if someone other than those on the permission form will be picking up your student or if you will be late for pick up.
– All Colorado Motor Vehicle laws (seat belts and car seats) must be observed. Cell phones must not be used in the Greet and Get lane.
Free Breakfast and Lunch Program – Application REQUIRED for all families
The School Breakfast Program and the National School Lunch Program are federally-assisted meal programs. It provides a nutritionally balanced, free lunch & breakfast to children each school day. Children who are eligible for free or reduced-priced meals may also qualify for other fee waivers and additional school funding. ALL families, please complete the “You Benefit” form: https://foodservices.dpsk12.org/o/foodservices/page/meal-benefits. (scroll down to submit application)
Families may choose to opt-in or opt-out,
Parents must check the box giving consent to disclose the status of their student(s) to other programs if they need fee waivers.

For students:
* Volo Kids Foundation is a non-profit organization that sets up free youth sports programs in major cities including Denver. The Volo Kids Foundation will be running 6-week-long sports programs for kids from 5 to 13 years old starting in September. All skill levels are welcome and we’ll be running flag football, soccer, and basketball. Runs: 9/28-11/2 (11:00am-1:00pm) Highlands Programs:

* North Cheer Camp – The Denver North Viking Cheer Team is so excited to bring back the Junior Viking Cheerleaders Camp after school September 24-26th! This camp allows K-8th grade students to join Denver North High School’s homecoming festivities throughout Homecoming Week alongside the Viking Cheer Team! * Way to Go Schoolpool Registration – Join Edison’s Schoolpool program to connect with other families to carpool, walk or bike to school together. Looking for help getting your student to and from school or want to find them a buddy to commute to school with? We are pleased to partner with Schoolpool, a free program to make it easier to get to school. Signing up is simple! 1. Go to https://mywaytogo.org/#/ and create an account and enter your address or intersection. 2. Add comments to indicate interest. 3. Find and contact interested families. Privacy and security: Edison and Schoolpool do not run background checks, confirm valid driver’s licenses, or assess insurance coverage on participants. Potential users are advised to screen participants to their personal satisfaction and check their own insurance coverage for carpooling to ensure that they are covered under these voluntary arrangements. Schoolpool does not provide drivers, vehicles, or insurance.
