School lunch menus can be found at: www.schoolcafe.com/dps. Then you can log in as a guest or create an account. Breakfast is free for all students. For students who do not receive free/reduced meals, elementary lunch price is $2.60 and milk only is $0.75

After School Enrichment at Edison
Edison staff and community are very proud of the wide variety of Enrichment classes we offer each semester. If you are interested in signing your child up for an Enrichment class, please be aware of the following dates:
* August 17 – After school enrichment class schedule posted on Edison website at 9:00
* August 18 – After school enrichment class sign up opens at 9:00 AM
* Scholarship information: Edison’s PTA is proud to sponsor a VERY SMALL number of scholarships for students for one Enrichment class per school year. If you are a family with significant financial need and would like to apply for a scholarship, please email Sally_Whitelock@dpsk12.org as soon as possible (before August 17) with the following information: Student name, student grade, Enrichment class of choice (1st 3 choices), and reason for financial need. Information will be kept confidential. All scholarships are pending approval from the school leadership. Options for Enrichment Scholarships include (and more, full list will be shared when scholarship is approved): CKC/Colorado Kids Camp Soccer-Basketball-ABC (Monday or Tuesday), Positive Team Games & Sports (Wednesday), Journalism Club/Edison School Newspaper (Thursday), Hip Hop Dance Class, Hula Hooping, Full STEAM! (Monday or Tuesday or Wednesday or Thursday or Friday)
Back to School Night:
Back-to-school night and Lawn Party will be Thursday, August 18 at 5:00 PM. You are welcome to bring a picnic dinner for your family to eat on the field starting at 5:00. Mrs. Whitelock will give a brief welcome to all families around 5:30 and then families can visit their student’s classroom from 6:00-6:30 and again from 6:30-7:00 if they have more than one child. Please plan on bringing your child’s school supplies at this time.
*** If it is raining, we will cancel the lawn party and have an open house from 5:30-6:00 and begin classroom presentations at 6:00 and 6:30.
Kindergarten Assessment Day:
All kindergarten students will need to sign up for an individual assessment which will take place on August 22. After receiving your student’s teacher’s name on the Parent Portal in July/August, please sign up for an assessment/meet the teacher appointment at the appropriate sign up genius link below:

Prior to school starting, please complete the following:
Online Registration: All guardians for new and returning students need to complete the online registration for each of their students for the 2022-2023 school year online BY AUGUST 12. You must have a Parent Portal account to register online.
* If you need to open a Parent Portal account, go to myportal.dpsk12.org and click on ‘Create an Account’.
* You will need your student’s DPS ID# to start your account. You can call Edison’s office at 720-424-7780 or email Michelle Miller in the office at michelle_miller@dpsk12.org, or Barbara Schrant at maria_schrant@dpsk12.org, to get your student’s ID#.
* If you forgot your password click on the forgot password link.
* If you have any other trouble logging in (you must log in at least once every six months to keep your account active), you can ask for help by emailing portalteam@dpsk12.org or calling the portal hotline at 720.423.3163.
* Only the parents in the primary household can do registration.
Discovery Link Registration: Registration for before & after school care with Discovery Link for the 2022-2023 School Year opened in April for all families on a first come, first served basis.

Sign up for MySchoolBucks: We encourage all guardians to sign up for https://www.myschoolbucks.com through the Parent Portal. This gives caretakers the ability to pay for school lunches, field trips and school fees on-line with a credit card.
Complete Meal Benefits Application: All families are strongly encouraged to complete a Meal Benefits Application online (even if you do not qualify). You can do this through https://www.myschoolapps.com/Application.
Complete the Volunteer Application: If you wish to volunteer for Edison this school year (with the PTA, attending a field trip, in the classroom), please make sure you complete the volunteer application. Approvals are good for one calendar year (they expire exactly one year after approval); you must reapply every year.

Medication for School form: If your student needs to keep medication at school you will need to pick up a new form to be filled out by a parent and physician. These will be available in the Edison office throughout the school year or you can email Michelle (michelle_miller@dpsk12.org ) or Barbara Schrant at ( maria_schrant@dpsk12.org ) to email you a copy.
Sign up for Greet and Get: Parents (for 1st-5th grade students only) wishing to use the Greet and Get lane after school will need to fill out a Google Form and inform their student’s teacher so that the teacher will know to send the child to the Greet and Get pick up area at 3:25 PM. Edison t-shirts: All ECE & kindergarten students, and new students to Edison receive a free Edison t-shirt. If you would like to purchase a new Edison t-shirt for your child, please come to Edison’s office to purchase one for $10.
