Eagle Run AND Direct Ask Campaign
The Eagle Run is raising money to pay for instructional paraprofessionals for the 2024/2025 school year. These important staff members support students and teachers in grades K-5. We would love to raise $80,000 – 90,000 (which equals about $170 per student) this year for this very important fundraiser to help out our teachers and students at Edison.
* Stuents were sent home with their lap number and can now collect pledges in cash, check or online until October 31 when all pledge sheets are due back to school.
* To contribute directly to our fundraising efforts, you can give through any of these convenient methods:
– Venmo ID: @EdisonElementaryPTA
– Online at the PTA or Edison websites: https://edisonptadenver.org or https://edison.dpsk12.org
– Snail Mail or Drop Off: Edison Elementary Attn: PTA Fundraising 3350 Quitman Street Denver, CO 80212
Family-Teacher Conferences
Please sign up for a family-teacher conference on either October 10 or 11, between 3:45 and 7:45 PM. This is a great time to find out how your child(ren) is doing in school, celebrate success and set academic and work habit goals with your child. We strongly believe that teachers and caregivers must work together, as a team, to ensure the educational success of children. We value these opportunities to collaborate with you and are looking forward to our one-on-one conferences. Please watch for sign up forms coming from your child’s teacher.

Support Edison:
Some families are in a position to support their child’s learning at home, others can support through volunteering time, and some through financial donation. To give a sense of scope, if each Edison family were to donate $500 per student per year, Edison could fund all of our fundraising initiatives.
Edison’s first fundraising event of the school year:
Eagle Run: A fun event that occurs in the Fall where each grade runs laps around the Edison field with music, posters, and class camaraderie! Money raised during the Eagle Run funds salaries for essential, dependable paraprofessional support in Edison’s classrooms. In September, your child will receive a donation tracker; this is a great event for donation by grandparents, neighbors, or other supportive adults in your child’s life.
Additional ways to give money to Edison’s PTA:
Direct Ask Campaign: You may always make a one-time or set up a regular donation through PayPal, Venmo, Square, or a check. Check to see if your employer provides matching of qualified contributions made; Edison’s PTA is a qualified 501c3 organization! Monies raised through the Direct Ask Campaign are the easiest and most direct ways to support student learning for all learners.
