First Day of School
Edison staff is excited to welcome students back to school on:

After School Enrichment at Edison
Edison after school enrichment classes begin the week of August 29.
* Scholarship information: Edison’s PTA is proud to sponsor a VERY SMALL number of scholarships for students for one Enrichment class per school year. If you are a family with significant financial need and would like to apply for a scholarship, please email Sally_Whitelock@dpsk12.org) with the following information: Student name, student grade, Enrichment class of choice (1st 3 choices), and reason for financial need. Information will be kept confidential. All scholarships are pending approval from the school leadership.

Sign up for MySchoolBucks: We encourage all guardians to sign up for https://www.myschoolbucks.com through the Parent Portal. This gives caretakers the ability to pay for school lunches, field trips and school fees on-line with a credit card.
Complete Meal Benefits Application: All families are strongly encouraged to complete a Meal Benefits Application online (even if you do not qualify). You can do this through https://www.myschoolapps.com/Application.
Complete the Volunteer Application: If you wish to volunteer for Edison this school year (with the PTA, attending a field trip, in the classroom), please make sure you complete the volunteer application. Approvals are good for one calendar year (they expire exactly one year after approval); you must reapply every year.

Medication for School form: If your student needs to keep medication at school you will need to pick up a new form to be filled out by a parent and physician. These will be available in the Edison office throughout the school year or you can email Michelle (michelle_miller@dpsk12.org ) or Barbara Schrant at ( maria_schrant@dpsk12.org ) to email you a copy.
Sign up for Greet and Get: Parents (for 1st-5th grade students only) wishing to use the Greet and Get lane after school will need to fill out a Google Form and inform their student’s teacher so that the teacher will know to send the child to the Greet and Get pick up area at 3:25 PM. Edison t-shirts: All ECE & kindergarten students, and new students to Edison receive a free Edison t-shirt. If you would like to purchase a new Edison t-shirt for your child, please come to Edsion’s office to purchase one for $10.

With the great success of the Guardian Gatherings last year, we are doing them again! Hops and Pie is gracious enough to allow us to take over their patio from 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. Come hungry. Come thirsty. And bring the kids! The first ones coming up are:
