Early Registration Extended
Early Online Registration for the 2023-2024 school year has been extended through May 26 (It will open again in July/August – Date TBD). You must have a Parent Portal account to register online. If you need to open a Parent Portal account so you can do online registration, as well as have access to other important information about your student, go to myportal.dpsk12.org and click on ‘Create an Account’. You will need your student’s DPS ID# to start your account. You can call Edison’s office at 720-424-7780 or email Michelle Miller in the office at michelle_miller@dpsk12.org, or Barbara Schrant at maria_schrant@dpsk12.org, to get your student’s ID# after May 5. If you forgot your password click on the forgot password link. If you have any other trouble logging in (you must log in at least once every six months to keep your account active), you can ask for help by emailing portalteam@dpsk12.org or calling the portal hotline at 720.423.3163. Only the caregivers in the primary household can do registration.
Audition for the annual Edison Talent Show…3rd-5th graders only
Our annual Talent Show is scheduled for Wednesday, May 31. All 3rd-5th graders are invited to audition for the Talent Show. If you’d like to audition, please plan on the following:
– Your presentation is 2 minutes or less.
– You are confident, and can perform it without help from others.
– You provide your own music or mp3 files.
– You provide your own instrument, if it’s something that we don’t have in the music room.
– You submit a video of your performance, using this form, by Monday, May 8, 2023: https://forms.gle/cwkiJKRsdyZPdobu5
– You need to use your school Google account to open and fill out the survey.

Order School Supplies for 2023-24 NOW!
Did you know that you can order school supplies from the PTA now and be all prepared for the 2023-24 school year? If you order online, through the PTA:
– the teacher gets the exact supplies they want,
– the teachers have time to organize the supplies before the students arrive,
– there are fewer issues in the classroom since the students will have all the same supplies,
– and you don’t have to do ANYTHING past clicking a few buttons!
– The supplies will be shipped directly to Edison the week before school starts. Volunteers will deliver your students’ supply pack directly to their teacher! Edison makes about $3 a pack, which is not a lot, but it helps contribute to the PTA Fund. And yes, the supply list has been double-checked! To order supplies:

Enrichment Day
On May 30, Edison students will participate in Edison’s Enrichment Day. Teachers have planned fun, engaging full-day learning opportunities like: FBI, Hammond Candy Factory Tour, Dinosaur Ridge, Mile High Stadium Tour and more. Students get to choose their learning experience for the day. Edison’s PTA fully funds Enrichment Day for all Edison students! ALL STUDENTS should – bring a sack lunch (or get one from our lunchroom), wear comfortable shoes & clothing, bring a water bottle. Students should be prepared to walk and for the weather.

We would like to first thank everyone who supported the DL store to help us raise money for our annual field trip. We are glad to say we enjoyed ourselves and had an amazing time riding the awesome bus, skating, and eating pizza and hot dogs. Huge thank you to all of our community, we could do this without you.
