Thanksgiving Lunch
Please join us on Wednesday, November 16 for our annual Thanksgiving lunch served by our fantastic lunchroom staff. (Sign up in advance, by October 28. Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for non-students). The lunch schedule will be the following on Nov 16:
*ECE – Recess at 11:00, Lunch at 11:30
*Kindergarten – Lunch at 11:00, Recess at 11:30
*1st grade – Recess at 11:00, Lunch at 11:30
*2nd grade – Recess at 12:00, Lunch at 12:25
*3rd grade – Lunch at 12:00, Recess at 12:25
*4th grade – Recess at 12:45, Lunch at 1:05
*5th grade – Lunch at 12:45, Recess at 1:05
Science Fair
Students who signed up to participate in the science fair should be working on their traditional Scientific Method project or a STEM (engineering) project. Please be aware of the following dates:
*November 4: Last day to withdraw your intent to participate in the fair. Please withdraw your intent by notifying classroom teachers or by emailing Ms. Arey and Ms.Kotecki.
*November 14: Completed Science/STEM Fair packet is due. The packet may be submitted electronically or as a hard copy. Please submit to classroom teachers.
*November 17: Bring your project to the auditorium between 3:30 – 4:45pm in order to set up. Your space will be at the tables designated by grade level. Look for your name placard and project packet. This will be your set up spot! The Science Fair will be open to the Edison community from 4:45 – 5:30pm.
*November 18: Students will present their projects to judges in the morning. Projects go home by 4:00pm (students in after school enrichment, ect. can pick up their projects right after school.)

Eagle Run & Direct Ask Fundraiser
Thank you to everyone who donated to the Eagle Run and Direct Ask campaign this year. We have currently raised $63,000. This money will be granted to Edison to pay for intervention paraprofessionals who support students and teachers across the school.

Healthy Start Times
With DPS adjusting school start and end times next year, many are wondering what Edison’s schedule will be. For the 2023-24 school year, Edison’s start and end times will remain the same as this year – Start time: 8:30, End time: 3:25.

Nurse’s Office In Need of Spare Clothes
We are getting low on clothes to share with kids. With the snowy months coming, kids are always getting wet. We are especially in need of pants and shorts. If your child has outgrown any clothes that are still in good condition, please share with Nurse Jill.
