Sign up for Thanksgiving Lunch
Please join us on Wednesday, November 16 for our annual Thanksgiving lunch served by our fantastic lunchroom staff. Please sign up in advance, by October 28. Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for non-students (cash or check written to Edison lunchroom). The lunch schedule will be the following on Nov 16:
– ECE – Recess at 11:00, Lunch at 11:30
– Kindergarten – Lunch at 11:00, Recess at 11:30
– 1st grade – Recess at 11:00, Lunch at 11:30
– 2nd grade – Recess at 12:00, Lunch at 12:25
– 3rd grade – Lunch at 12:00, Recess at 12:25
– 4th grade – Recess at 12:45, Lunch at 1:05
– 5th grade – Lunch at 12:45, Recess at 1:05
Science Fair
Do you love science? If so, we encourage you to participate in Edison’s science fair. The Science Fair is open to all ECE-5th grade students. Students can participate by doing a traditional Scientific Method project or a STEM (engineering) project. If your child would like to be a part of Science Fair, please complete the Project Intent form, available digitally through link below, by 10/28/22. Science Fair packets can be found below.

Eagle Run & Direct Ask Fundraiser
Edison’s 7th annual Eagle Run run-a-thon fundraiser was so much fun and a HUGE success. Our goal this year is to raise $100,000 (or $250 per student) to raise money to keep our fantastic intervention paraprofessionals who support our teachers and students across the school!
Encourage your student to collect pledges! This year the whole student body will celebrate the fundraising WINS. We have raised $50,000 so far – and have unlocked our school-wide prize of Eagle Run sweatbands! Let’s unlock our fourth school-wide prize by raising $75,000!

Fall Festival
Join us for our annual Fall Festival on Friday, October 28 at 3:30 on Edison’s parking lot and playground. Students may wear their costumes to school that day and after school (Please no masks or fake weapons). At 3:30, the festivities will begin with trunk-or-treat and fun games. PTA will be selling tickets for $1 each for games & concessions.
We appreciate donations of prizes/treats, as well as volunteers (for each classroom trunk/game) to support this fun event – Please communicate with your student’s class parent to help decorate a vehicle/trunk or run a game.
Picture retakes will be on Thursday, November 3rd.
If you ordered pictures but are not happy with them and would like your child to get retakes, please send the original packet with your child on the day of retakes. They’ll turn that in to the photographer and get another photo taken in return.
If your child was absent on the original picture day and you would like to order pictures, please fill out the form that will go home in Thursday folders on October 27 and have your child bring it to school on November 3.
Parent Information Seminar
The PTA has invited Mathnasium to Edison to host a Math Night on Thursday, November 3rd from 6-7pm! Open to all grades – Come and play math games with your child to learn about what they are doing in school and different strategies to help your child with math homework and practice at home.
