In December, the 1st graders at Edison, as part of their Kids Care social studies unit, went to The Argile retirement home to read with the residents and shared personalized decorations for a giving tree. We are so proud of our community minded students at Edison.
Edison First Graders receive the “Channel 7 Leaders are Readers” Award

On Tuesday, January 12, Edison’s First grade students and teachers were recognized by Channel 7 with their “Channel 7 Leaders are Readers” Award. Lisa Hidalgo from Channel 7 came to Edison to read a book to the students and present the check to the teachers. The students received books and activity bags. The school received a $1000 check from Channel 7 which will be used to purchase books and crafts for The Argile retirement home which will be used when Edison’s students go visit The Argile.
