Edfest THIS SATURDAY, May 4 – PLEASE JOIN US!
Edfest Underground, Edison’s annual adult only fundraiser and community celebration, is scheduled for Saturday, May 4 at 7:00-11:00 PM at the Elk’s Club at 2475 W. 26th Ave. in Denver. All parents and community members are invited! EdFest Underground ticket access is open…entrance to the event is FREE with the secret password (Passwordis “Speakeagle”). Scholastic Book Fair — May 9 & 10
The Scholastic Book Fair is scheduled for Thursday, May 9 from 8:00-8:45 AM and 3:30-4:30 PM and on Friday, May 10 from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM in the auditorium.

Field Day
Please join us for field day on Friday, May 10. Kindergarten, 2nd grade and 4th grade students will compete at 9:15 AM on the field. 1st, 3rd and 5th graders will compete at 1:15 on the field. The PTA will sell concessions during the lunch hour.
Teacher Appreciation Week
Please help us show our appreciation to Edison’s Educators this week. The PTA is doing something special each day for our educational staff. Please help them by having your children write a personal note of appreciation and send them to school on THURSDAY (don’t foget paraprofessionals, intervention teachers & specials teachers)! You are welcome to send an additional appreciation gift/card if you choose.
PTA Meeting
Please join us at our last PTA meeting of the year on Thursday, May 9 at 6:00-7:30 PM @ the Garage (community center by Highlands UMC).
Family Satisfaction Survey
Submit your Family Satisfaction Survey before June 7, 2019! This survey is designed to measure how well your child’s school involves families, the quality of family-school relationships and what you think about the school culture. The honest feedback you are providing will help us make positive changes at your school and across the district, helping DPS provide a better learning environment for your child. Are you, or do you know someone who, is interested in getting more involved at Edison? Edison is looking to hire some great staff and volunteers!
** INTERVENTION PARAPROFESSIONALS – We are looking for 3 intervention paraprofessionals to support students and teacher in grades 1-5, thanks to a grant fromthe PTA. If you are interested, apply on DPS’s job board and send an emal to Sally_Whitelock@dpsk12.org
** HEALTH CLINIC PARAPROFESSIONAL – We are looking for a 20 hour per week (3 days) paraprofessional to support students in the health clinic at Edison.If you are interested, apply on DPS’s job board and send an emal to Sally_Whitelock@dpsk12.org
** PTA BOARD AND CHAIRPERSONS – We are in great need of parent volunteers to support our PTA next year. If you are interested in a PTA board/chairperson role for next year, please come to our May PTA meeting on May 9 at Edison at 6:00 PM and get involved!
