The 4th annual Edison Read-A-Thon has kicked off with students setting personal reading goals during Library time.

Parent Education Seminar
Please join us on Thursday, January 10 at 6:00 PM to participate in an engaging conversation about privilege, diversity and equity. Bill De La Cruz, a DPS expert on equity and inclusive cultures, will present. The work of eliminating opportunity gaps belongs to everyone in DPS. It is important for all of us to focus on how ourn actions further our shared value of equity. Bill De La Cruz supports educators and the community at large with resources and supports to ensure inclusive environments, which help to narrow achievement gaps.

Volunteer Training
If you would like to volunteer at Edison and would like to learn more about volunteering expectations and opportunities, please join us at our next Parent Volunteer training on January 11 at 8:00 AM in the auditorium. We will provide parents with information on how to complete volunteer applications, how to sign up for volunteering opportunities, and best practices for volunteers related to confidentiality, working with students, and communication with teachers.
