I am writing with an update to the Volunteer Application process, and will hopefully answer any questions you may have. On Friday we learned from DPS Volunteer Services that the Volunteer application policy has changed and that all volunteers, including individuals currently approved to volunteer, will need to reapply each year using the DPS Volunteer Portal process. Every year, approved volunteers will receive an email reminder with information about applying again for the following year.
Anyone interested in volunteering their time to support Edison this year will need to apply through this system. The good news is, the process is quick and easy! The new volunteer background check process is powered by Sterling Volunteers.
- Volunteers can submit everything online avoiding the volunteer paper form. https://app.verifiedvolunteers.com/en/Candidates/Account/Register
- To begin, click on the link above à go to LOGIN and Create an Account.
- You may be asked to enter a ‘Good Deed Code’. The code for Edison is e9x8to9 and it is case-sensitive.
- Volunteer background check results are processed faster and emailed directly to the volunteer.
