We are ready for our first order of the year. The deadline is noon, Thursday September 8th. All orders must be placed online and can be paid in one of two ways: online with PrestoPay or a check dropped off in the office, made to Edison PTA. Gift cards will be available for pick up Wednesday, Sept 14th.
What is scrip fundraising? Scrip is fancy word for gift cards. The fundraising part is simple. You purchase a gift card at full price and the school gets a percentage of each purchase. The amount is variable depending on what card you purchase. King Soopers and Sunflower Market give 5% back, Starbucks 7%, Banana Republic 14%. It is an easy way to give back to Edison’s PTA! You can manage your monthly spending, stock up for the holidays, or just treat yourself to something special. There are 1000’s of vendors available, both local and national companies: Whole Foods, Target, Safeway, Chipotle, Amazon.com, iTunes, Home Depot, and Lowes just to name a few.
How do I get started? You manage your own order online at www.shopwithscrip.org. You’ll need to enter Edison’s enrollment code when you create an account 9613C34626883. Then start shopping! Two great features are ScripNow! and Reload. ScripNow! allows you to print off your gift vouchers from the convienence of your own home. Reloading is an environmentally friendly way you can put more money on a card you have previously purchased through Shop With Scrip. Once your order is complete, you follow the checkout instructions. You can set up an automatic withdrawl from your checking account with PrestoPay or you can deliver a check, payable to Edison PTA, to the office.
What is the easiest way to participate? Buy a King Soopers gift card for $25 through Shop With Scrip. This card can then be reloaded at any King Soopers store and 5% will go back to Edison. Anyone can use these cards! Give the cards to family and friends and have them continue to reload their cards at King Soopers. That’s $50 for every $1000 spent on grocery shopping, gas, pharmacy, and even gift card purchases!
