Please support school safety and instructional time

Over the past several weeks, we have observed many parents and students in the school prior to school starting. Additionally, some students are continually being picked up from school early. In order to ensure the safety of our school, respect the needs of our teachers to prepare for instruction, and maximize instructional time, we are requesting the following of our parents and students:

• Please do not come in to the school prior to 8:40 in the morning unless you have a meeting with a teacher or administrator. If you do have a meeting, please “buzz” in through the front door, sign-in in the office, and get a visitor sticker.
• Please have your students line up outside and enter the building with their class in the morning.
• If your child eats breakfast at school, they may enter the cafeteria at 8:00 AM and when they are done with breakfast, should line up outside with their class.
• Please refrain from picking your children up early from school unless you have an emergency or an appointment. School ends at 3:30.
• Please pick up students on the playground where teachers dismiss them, not inside the building.
