Eagle Run and Direct Ask fundraiser

Our annual Eagle Run was a huge success and SO MUCH FUN!  This year the Eagle Run is raising money to grant to the school for paras (assistants to 1-5th grade teachers) for next year.  Our goal is to raise $80,000! We are about half-way to our goal – If you have not yet donated, please do! If each student donated $150 we would reach our goal, but every dollar counts no matter the size!  Help us continue supporting our students and teachers at Edison for next year.

To contribute directly to our fundraising efforts, you can give through any of these convenient methods:
** Venmo ID: @EdisonElementaryPTA
** Online at the PTA or Edison websites: https://edisonptadenver.org or  https://edison.dpsk12.org
** Snail Mail or Drop Off:   Edison Elementary   Attn: PTA Fundraising   3350 Quitman Street   Denver, CO 80212

Unity Day

Wear and show orange on October 20 to show unity for kindness, acceptance and inclusion and to send a visible message that no child should ever experience bullying. For more information please go to:

Science Fair

Do you love science? If so, we encourage you to participate in Edison’s science fair. The Science Fair is open to all ECE-5th grade students. Students can participate by doing a traditional Scientific Method project or a STEM (engineering) project. If your child would like to be a part of Science Fair, please complete the Project Intent form, available through classroom teachers or digitally through link below, by 10/22/21. Science Fair packets will be sent home or emailed to families that return the Intent Form.

Costume Parade:

On Friday, October 29th, students are invited to wear costumes to school with a suggested $1 or more donation!  This money will fund our teacher PTA accounts so we can buy classroom supplies, have pizza parties, and much more!  This year, the costume parade is in place of our usual Fall Harvest Festival, our biggest classroom fundraiser of the year, so we ask that families consider this when making donations.  Students should continue to wear their safety mask and can incorporate it with their outfit, but no costume masks that cover the face or weapons will be allowed.  Students will show off their costumes with a parade from about 3:00-3:25 around the blacktop & field.  Families are welcome to watch from outside the fence wearing masks, and at the conclusion of the parade adults may come inside the fence to pick up their students.

Trunk or Treat:

On Friday, October 29th from 3:30-4:30pm, students and families are invited to attend our first Edison Trunk or Treat!  After dismissal, families are welcome to bring their children to the staff parking lot to visit each class’s decorated car and collect treats.  As a reminder, all students should be supervised by their guardian and we ask that everyone wears masks.  Cars will also be accepting donations to go towards classroom accounts.  This year, this event is in place of our usual Fall Harvest Festival, our biggest classroom fundraiser of the year, so we ask that families consider this when making donations!

Not sure what is for dinner?? Let the PTA help!!

Join us at Crock Spot on Thursday, October 21st from 4-8 and 10% of all sales (dine in or take out) will be donated back to Edison!

Crock Spot – 4045 Pecos St, Denver
