Character Trait of the Week
The character trait for this week is trustworthy (able to be relied on as honest or truthful). You can reinforce this character trait at home by saying “I appreciate your honesty.” and encouraging children to tell the truth even when it is hard, but to do so in a caring way.

Enrichment Day May 31
On May 31, every Edison student will engage in a fun learning opportunity either at Edison or off site (on a field trip). Students in ECE and kindergarten will be on field trips with their classes. 1st-5th graders had the opportunity to choose a learning experience of their choice. Please send students to school on Tuesday, May 31 with appropriate clothing for their activity (athletic shoes, sunscreen, etc) and send students with a sack lunch. Students who need/want school lunch will get a sack lunch from the school cafeteria. Please note: you might not receive a ‘field trip permission slip’ so please talk to your child about their activity.

Student Chromebooks for the summer
Grades K-4 students who are in need of a Chromebook over the summer to support summer learning or because they are attending DPS summer school may check out a Chromebook from Edison. Summer of Sora is the DPS summer reading program of over 35,000 eBooks and audiobooks. June 6 through Aug. 12, every Sora eBook or audiobook checkout is a chance for students to win prizes.
