Why do we fundraise?
Edison’s PTA works hand-in-hand with the administration to provide support and funding for programs and services that the state and DPS funding do not cover. Did you know (statistics from GreatEducation):
- Colorado spends $2,070 per student less than the national average
- Colorado is 40th in per pupil spending
- Colorado ranks 41st in student-to-teacher ratios
That is over $1.1 million per year lacking for a school our size! FUNdraising by the PTA is essential at Edison in many ways. The PTA provides each year the: Thursday folders, School Directories and the Edison T-shirts.
Other events funded by the PTA include scholarships for the Enrichment programs, Edison’s Autistic Horseback Riding Program, RIF (Reading is Fundamental) and so much more!
Please help the PTA close the gap! There are several events and ways for families to donate time or funds to help the PTA close the gap. Annual FUNdraising events include (but not limited to): Eagle Run, Fall Festival, Teacher Treasures, Community Nights and our adults only celebration, EDFest!
