Discovery Link (formerly Kaleidoscope Corner)

Our New Name

Denver Public Schools (DPS) is proud to introduce Discovery Link – a new name for the official DPS afterschool program. Formerly known as Kaleidoscope Corner in some schools and Fit, Fun & Literacy in others, we have renamed the program to better reflect the linkage between the school day and the discovery that takes place in our programs out of school time, including before and after school and during the summer.

DPS afterschool programs are built on a culture of discovery. Combining academic support, arts, athletics, leadership development, social emotional learning and much more, we create an environment that is enriching, engaging and fun!

Before and After School Child Care Program

Discovery Link is a licensed child care program offered at select Denver Public Schools, including Edison Elementary. Edison is a Discovery Link School Age site serving children ages 5-12.

In 1984, Denver Community School developed this successful program. Our purpose is to provide high quality educational, recreational and cultural opportunities for children. Discovery Link’s philosophy is to provide a creative, safe and caring environment for children before and after the regular school day. We believe that choice is essential for children’s growth and happiness. We teach children to solve their own problems by modeling correct behavior and emphasizing clear conduct guidelines. Our child care centers are staffed with qualified professionals trained in the areas of CPR, First Aid, activity planning and behavior management.
