This is Sally Whitelock and Benita Cervantes with the weekly announcements for the week of January 28.

Parent Equity Discussion
Please join us on Thursday, January 31 at 5:30 PM to participate in our 2nd parent conversation about privilege, diversity and equity. Bill De La Cruz, a DPS expert on equity and inclusive cultures, will facilitate. Bill supports educators and the community at large to ensure inclusive environments, which help to narrow achievement gaps.

CSC Meeting
on Thursday, January 31 at 4:30 PM in the conference room downstairs.

No School
on Friday, February 1 due to a planning day for teachers.

PTA SPECIAL REPORT
The EVERY STUDENT COUNTS 2019 direct ask campaign kicked-off in January and will wrap on February 9th! Goal is to raise funds for additional paraprofessionals for 1st-5th grades and a part-time Volunteer Coordinator

A message from the nurse
CDC has identified Colorado and Georgia as the two states with the most flu cases earlier this month. Flu activity in Colorado may not peak until February. Please refer to the following links from the CDC on illness prevention recommendations to minimize the spread of illnesses.
